// THE CHALLENGE
TrendTrading set out to serve investors with day jobs: people who plan trades around trend channels on weekly charts but can't watch the market all day. They needed a product that lets anyone define a channel in seconds, judges how trustworthy that channel is, and keeps watching it after the user has closed the tab.
// THE SOLUTION
A web platform built on Next.js and deployed on Vercel. Users draw a channel with three clicks or pick a statistically fitted one, split it into zones with dividers, and save it for daily monitoring. A dashboard tracks every channel's zone at a glance, and e-mail and Telegram alerts fire when the price moves into a buy or sell zone.

A live, bilingual product (Traditional Chinese and English) with a free plan anyone can start on, a public community where users browse and follow each other's channels, and 35 search-indexable health-check pages that explain a ticker's channel in plain numbers.

Draw It Once, Let the System Watch
The core loop is three screens: fit a channel, save it, and see where every stock sits today. Screens are shown in Traditional Chinese, the language of the product's home market.

Candlestick charts on five timeframes, rendered with TradingView Lightweight Charts. Three clicks draw a parallel channel; Auto draw proposes regression-fitted ones, each scored for quality before you apply it.

Type a ticker and get a one-page read on its trend channel — no account needed. Pages for popular tickers are pre-built, so the tool can be found from search.

The fitted channel drawn over recent candles, with a 0–100 quality score, goodness of fit, slope, channel width, and stability.
RISK READOUT
A weekly trend gate, the distance to the stop level, and how the fit changes across four window lengths — numbers instead of opinions.

Statistics Under the Hood
FITTED BY FORMULA
Auto-drawn channels come from Theil–Sen robust regression, with the rails set at the 5th and 95th percentiles of the residuals — the same data always gives the same channel.
A SCORE FOR TRUST
Every fitted channel carries a quality score alongside its goodness of fit, the share of candles inside the rails, and a stability figure. A condition number shows how far a small error in the lower rail would move position size.
ZONES AND ALERTS
Dividers split a channel into top, middle, and bottom zones. Saved channels are evaluated daily, and an alert goes out by e-mail or Telegram when the price changes zone.
COMMUNITY CHANNELS
Public channels can be browsed and followed, so one investor's analysis becomes a watchlist for others.
